Lumberjacks Lose Another Close Game
For the second straight game, ACC narrowly lost a game where they led throughout, falling to Detroit Community Christian, 83-77.
The Lumberjacks trailed by one at half and rallied to lead by as many as ten in the second half.
With 8:51 left to play, ACC led 62-54 but an 11-2 run by the Lions gave them a 65-64 advantage.
The Jacks tied the game at 72 and 77, but never again took the lead. ACC tied the game 77-77 with 1:22 to go on a Gary Reed three-pointer before DC3 scored six straight to close out the win. The Lions made 9 of 10 free throws down the stretch to clinch the win.
Derian Williams led ACC with 29 points. Reed had 13 points and six rebounds. Tobi Ogunyode posted 12 points and six rebounds. Kavon Patterson scored 13 for the Lumberjacks.
ACC fell to 0-3 with the loss and will play at Grand Rapids Community Christian on Tuesday, Nov. 11.
