Young Team Gains Important Experience in Midland
Running with a seasoned field of runners from host Northwood, Saginaw Valley, Alma, Findlay and Michigan-Dearborn, as well as MCCAA foes North Central Michigan College and Mott Community College, ACC's first women's cross country team continued to grow, with their all-freshman team placing third amongst the JUCO teams.
Emma Dickins ran a 21:54 for the 5,000 meters, finishing 38th overall and 7th amongst the community college runner. Teammate Elizabeth Barnhill finished next at 22:09 for 39th and 8th respectively. Amelia Roznowski ran a solid 22:45 for 45th place overall and 10th in the JUCOs.
Kaelyn Heath finished at 24:58, Karissa Carlson at 25:54 and Allee Goslee at 30:50.
Coach Drew Ornelas' squad runs next weekend on Saturday, Sept. 3 at the Bay Invitational in preparation for the important MCCAA Northern Conference meet on Sept. 26.
