Lumberjacks Lose at Henry Ford in Five Sets
For the second time this season, ACC lost a tough five-set volleyball match to Henry Ford Community College, this one down in Dearborn with scores of 27-25, 9-25, 23-25, 25-13, 11-15 in non-conference play.
According to Coach Courtney Holmes, Rocky Miller had a standout day with five aces, 11 digs and 13 kills.
Brook Latuszek had 11 kills; Alivia Freel had two blocks, two aces and nine kills.
Paige Moldenhauer had 10 digs. Maddi Sladek contributed 43 assists and two aces.
The Lumberjacks (1-6 overall, 0-1 conference) return to league action on Monday, Sept. 22 at Montcalm Community College. The Centurions will also be looking for their first conference win of the year as they sit with a 3-10 record overall and are 0-2 in the MCCAA Northern Conference.
