Lumberjacks Lose in Four Sets at Bay
ACC closed out the volleyball season with a very hard-fought, four set battle at Bay College, ending up on the losing end, 25-21, 26-28, 25-21, 25-21.
"I am so proud of our team for playing above roster changes, injuries and last minute rotation changes," coach Courtney Holmes said.
Rocky Miller, Brook Latuszek and Reagan Fitzpatrick played their final games in an ACC uniform.
Miller finished with nine kills, 11 digs and a block. Latuszek contributed eight kills, eight blocks, two blocks and an ace. Fitzpatrick added eight kills and two blocks.
Maddi Sladek led with way in assists, dishing out 30 and added two blocks.
Alivia Freel had a big night at the net with five blocks and eight kills while contributing two aces.
ShaeLynne Lance led the defense with 17 digs while Paige Moldenhauer added 12 digs and two aces.
The Lumberjacks finish the season with an overall record of 4-16, 2-10 in the MCCAA Northern Conference, good for sixth place. Grand Rapids Community College won the North with an overall record of 21-2 and a perfect 12-0 league mark.
