ACC Battles But Loses to NCMC

ACC got better in every set, but it wasn't enough as host North Central Michigan College (16-5, 6-1) pulled away to a 25-11, 25-20, 25-19 win over the Lumberjacks.

The Jacks led 9-0 to start the third set but couldn't close out the win.

Brooke Latuszek had seven kills. Kirsten Neubecker had five kills and three blocks. Sydney Hitzelberger, Raquelle Miller and Olivia Precord each contributed eight digs.

Earlier, the Lumberjacks lost on another road trip at Bay College, taking the Norse to five sets before falling, 25-17, 17-25, 25-16, 16-25, 9-15.

Raquelle Miller led ACC with nine kills, seven digs and three blocks. Kirsten Neubecker added nine kills and three blocks. Lillian Adams contributed seven kills, six assists and five digs. Maddie Dipzinski had six kills and nine aces. Hitzelberger led the defense with 12 digs.

The Lumberjacks (0-9 overall, 0-6 conference) return home this Friday, Oct. 11 to host Delta College (10-11, 2-4) at 6:30 pm in Park Arena.
