Basketball Picks Up Win

After losing to a tough Rock Valley College (IL) team, 106-43, the ACC Lumberjacks bounced back in style with a 69-61 overtime win over Lorain County Community College (OH).

Saige Flaugher led all scorers in the Lorain game with 27 points. She also contributed five steals and five assists. 12 of her points were scored in the overtime period.

Anna Herbolsheimer scored 21 points, pulled down 11 rebounds and had four steals. Lillian Maser had six points and eight rebounds while Sarah Wyglendowski grabbed 11 rebounds.

ACC led 18-10 after one quarter, 33-25 at the half and 41-34 after three periods. 

Against Rock Valley, three Lumberjacks were in double figures - Herbolsheimer with 15, Flaugher with 10 and Brook Portice with a double-double in her first collegiate game - 11 points and 12 rebounds.

The Lumberjacks (1-1) will host Community Christian College at Park Arena on Saturday, Nov. 8.
