Lumberjacks Lose Close One at NCMC
ACC's women's basketball took to the road for the first time in 11 days and took a tough 71-57 loss at North Central Michigan College.
The Lumberjacks only trailed by five at the end of the first quarter, 22-17 and by seven at the half, 35-28, but a 23-12 advantage for the Timberwolves in the 3rd quarter gave ACC a tough hill to climb.
The closest the Lady Jacks could get in the fourth was 12, at 68-56 with 2:34 remaining.
Bryce Roy and Saige Flaugher led ACC with 11 points and six rebounds apiece. Roy's contributions came off the bench after missing three games due to a knee injury.
Jena Wambold and Jessie Ross each scored nine and Cierra Tetz tallied eight.
The Lumberjacks, now 2-12 overall, 1-5 conference take to the road on Saturday, Feb. 1 to face Delta College (5-13, 2-4).
