ACC Suffers Tough Loss at NCMC
After a win on the road at Muskegon Community College two weeks ago, the ACC men's basketball team was a league contender with a 6-3 record.
Since then, the Lumberjacks have lost three straight, the latest an 81-55 loss at North Central Michigan College.
The first time the two teams met, ACC won at home, 56-52.
The Lumberjacks trailed at the half, 37-28 and scored the first five points of the second half to get within four.
NCMC dominated from that time on, however, outscoring ACC 37-13 over the next 14 minutes for an 74-46 lead and put the game out of reach.
Elijah Hennings, earlier named the MCCAA Northern Conference Player of the Week, led the Lumberjacks with 13 points. Davarion Mitchell scored 10. Robert Williams had nine.
The Jacks (8-14 overall, 6-6 conference) host Mid-Michigan College at Park Arena (18-7, 10-2) on Saturday.
