ACC Loses Two Against Tough Competition
The men's basketball Lumberjacks traveled to Flint over the weekend and came away with two tough losses at Mott Community College's Roundball Classic.
Friday night gainst the host Bears, ACC lost 97-61. Davarion Mitchell led the Jacks with 17 points and six rebounds. Elijah Hennings had 13 points and six rebounds. Terence Burton, fresh off MCCAA Northern Conference Player of the Week recognition, contributed 11 points and seven rebounds.
On Saturday night, Schoolcraft College bested the Lumberjacks, 77-66. ACC outscored the Ocelots, 39-37.
Mitchell led the Lumberjacks again with a double-double 22 points and 13 rebounds. Hennings tallied 15 points and grabbed six rebounds. Trevon Johnson also scored 15.
ACC (2-7) returns to action after the Christmas break at Kellogg Community College on Saturday, Jan. 6 before returning home to start league play on Saturday, Jan. 13 hosting Muskegon Community College.
