Rainbow Six Siege Gets Their First Win on the Season
The Alpena Community College esports team earned a milestone victory this week, defeating Southern Arkansas University in extreme fashion to secure their first win of the season.
Competing in a best-of-three series, the Lumberjacks came out focused and determined, setting the tone early. In the opening round, the team showcased strong coordination and improved communication, pulling ahead quickly and maintaining control throughout the match. Their efforts paid off with a commanding 7–2 win.
Riding that momentum into the second round, Alpena elevated their performance even further. Crisp execution, strategic adjustments, and confident play led to a dominant 7–0 shutout, leaving little room for Southern Arkansas to respond. The clean sweep marked not only a statement victory but also a turning point in the young season.
With the win, Alpena Community College improves its overall record to 1–2. After facing tough competition in their first two matchups, the breakthrough victory provides a surge of confidence and valuable experience as the team continues to build chemistry and refine its strategies. The squad’s ability to adapt mid-series and maintain composure under pressure proved instrumental in closing out both rounds decisively.
As the season progresses, Alpena will look to build on this momentum and even its record in upcoming contests. The Lumberjacks will next take on Fort Lewis Gold Esports on Wednesday, February 25th, at 10pm, as they look for back-to-back wins.
