eSports Off to Strong Start
ACC eSports continues play this spring as the Call of Duty Gunfight 2v2 team lost two games against the first and second place teams in their division, Union College (NJ) and Brookdale Community College (NJ).
"We are currently 3rd in the eastern US conference. Our matches are a best of five format with each game being the first to six rounds," Lumberjack coach Nick McDonald said. "In both maches we took our oppenets to game five with the final game scores being 6 rounds to 4. We were extremely competitive and forced each match to almost the last round."
The other eSports team at ACC, competing in Fortnite No Build 2v2, is a perfect 4-0 in competitions. In addition to a bye, ACC defeated Lakeland Community College (OH) 2-1, Florida State College at Jacksonville (FL) 2-0 and Lake Region State College (ND) 2-0.
Both teams compete on campus in the eSports facility with teams competing on Monday and Thursday evenings.
