ACC Players Receive Conference Recognition

The Michigan Community College Athletic Association recognized two ACC baseball players this week, selecting Brock Wing as the MCCAA Northern Conference Pitcher of the Week and Matt Thompson as the MCCAA Northern Conference Player of the Week.

The honors were for the week of March 18 through March 24.

Wing and Thompson led ACC to wins over Siena Heights JV, 18-10 and 7-4.

In the doubleheader, Thompson was 5 for 9 at the plate with two doubles and a grand slam home run. He scored four runs, drove in seven and stole three bases. Wing was the winning pitcher in game two, striking out eight in four innings pitched.

The Lumberjacks begin conference play this weekend with a four-game series at Mid-Michigan College.
