Both ACC Soccer Teams Lose to Schoolcraft
Perennial powerhouse Schoolcraft College sent their women's and men 's soccer teams north to take on Alpena Community College's first year program and despite game efforts by both Lumberjack teams, the Ocelots took both matches.
Schoolcraft's women, ranked #13 amongst NJCAA Division 2 teams in the country, won by an 11-0 margin. Emara Clarke had 19 saves in goal and Abby Platt and Anna Herbolsheimer each had shots on goal.
ACC's men were in contention early, trailing only 1-0 15 minutes in as the Ocelots were held to only one shot during that time. However, #15 ranked Schoolcraft pulled away to a 8-0 win, after leading 3-0 at the half.
Jackson Goble had six saves for the Lumberjacks who had three shots on goal as a team.
Both teams return to the pitch on Wednesday, Sept. 24 when they host Jackson College for a doubleheader beginning at 2:00 pm.
