Bio
Drew Ornelas took over as head softball coach at ACC for the 2023-24 season. He was head coach at Delta College from 2017 to 2021 and coached high school softball for five years prior to that. Beginning in the 2025-26 season, Drew is also the ACC head women's cross country coach.
Ornelas obtained a bachelor’s degree from New Mexico Highland University and a master’s degree from Kansas State University. He served in the United States Army and retired in 2012 as a lieutenant colonel after 24 years of active service. He is a two-time recipient of the Bronze Star.
